Vibha Surana is Professor of German at the Department of German, University of Mumbai. She is a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her areas of interest include German Literature, Intercultural German Studies, Comparative Literature, Comparative Aesthetics, Literary Translation and Didactics. She has authored Text und Kultur. Goethes Die Leiden des jungen Werthers and Agyeyas Shekhar: ek Jivani. Eine interkultrelle Studie (2002) and Die Europhonie der Kultur. Deutsch-indische Ahamomente (2009).
