The proprietor of the Twelfth Night Theatre in Brisbane Australia, Gail Wiltshire has recently completed postgraduate studies at the University of Queensland German Department, specializing in the works of Ilse Aichinger. Her former University studies in Arts and Education included a postgraduate degree focusing on Absurdism and Antonin Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty, and her diverse career has encompassed an extensive period as University Senior Lecturer in Theatre and the Creative Arts. Having graduated from the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London she examined in Speech and Drama for more than twenty years for Trinity College of Music, in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. She has also scripted, directed, produced, and toured theatre productions from London to Australia. Currently she is engaged in intensive ongoing research into the oeuvre of Ilse Aichinger.
